A classically proportioned pool and modern pavilion create a seamless extension of the landscape, balancing elemental strength with transparency. Anchored by a continuous stone wall, a simple axial composition unites architecture and terrain. A Connecticut fieldstone wall passes through the glass-enclosed pavilion and extends outward in both north and south directions, grounding the structure while shaping outdoor rooms that merge inside and out.

The pool, aligned on cross-axis, becomes an architectural feature. Its disappearing edge integrates the property’s natural slope into a dramatic design element, while a two-foot waterfall animates the stone surface with sound and reflection. Within the pavilion, the stone wall defines program and circulation, separating the bath and kitchenette from the main gathering space without diminishing spatial clarity. On the exterior, the wall screens a biophilic outdoor shower—a seasonal ritual tied directly to the landscape.
